Psalm 65-67, 69-70: The Steadfast Love of God

I was struck during today’s reading by the implications of two verse from two different Psalms. Here is Psalm 69:4 followed by Psalm 66:20:

O God, you know my folly;
the wrongs I have done are not hidden from you.

Blessed be God,
because he has not rejected my prayer
or removed his steadfast love from me!

Isn’t that a beautiful thought? God knows all my deepest and most hidden sins, yet He choses to listen to my prayer and continues to love me. This is only possible through Jesus, who paid for each and every hidden sin of my heart. He extends the love of God to all who call upon Him in faith.

These verses remind me of the last line of the song Indescribable, by Laura Story. It says:

You see the depths of my heart
And you love me the same.
You are amazing God.

So true. For this reason, and countless more, our God is truly worthy of blessing.
