A few years ago, I was introduced to a term that deserves recognition: Man-complishment
What is man-complishment?
In short, a man-complishment is when a man does something awesome. Often times, it has something to do with a blatant defiance of the natural order, like the guy who killed a bear with his bare hands (and boots) in order to save himself and his dog, or former NFL star/Olympian Hershel Walker’s second MMA victory at 48 years old.
It can also be something as simple as perfectly executing a medium-rare steak on a charcoal grill.
Most importantly, and perhaps most under appreciated, are the times when a man serves his wife, his family, his church, or his neighbor in such a way that his actions call other men to step up and do the same.
These stories remind us of what a man is capable of when he doesn’t live in his mom’s basement playing video games all day. They are sometimes funny, often unbelievable, and always true.
