Who am I?

Good question. The answer may not be as good. You can decide.

My name is Chris Burke. I love Jesus and I trust in His saving power alone. He is my Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, and King and by His death and resurrection I have been brought into the family of God.

I am a husband and a father, which is still weird to write. I hope it stays that way. My beautiful wife Jessica puts up with a lot and yet still wants me around. Either I am great at cleaning (not true) or she really loves me (by God’s grace, this one is true!). In order to minimize the amount of times that I update this page, I will say that we have a growing family, and it is awesome! God has used married life and parenthood to soften my heart and produce a growing desire for humility in me. He is good.

I am on staff at Wellspring Church in Pleasanton, Ca where I serve as assistant pastor. I get to lead the music ministry, the parent/teen ministry, preach occasionally and read a lot. This is a good job. Wellspring is part of a family of churches called Sovereign Grace Ministries. If you have a minute, you should check them out.
